Layla Fijany MS, DDS
Meet Dr. Layla
DR. LAYLA FIJANY FELT SHE WAS DESTINED FOR DENTISTRY. As a little girl, she spent her free time making jewelry, and it was the hand-eye coordination that she especially enjoyed. While in college, she added the sciences as another personal interest and chose to major in human biology. When faced with what she wanted to do as a profession, dentistry revealed itself as the perfect fit, as it combined hand-eye skills, was patient-centric, and afforded her the opportunity to make a positive impact on others’ lives.

After receiving her undergraduate degree in Human Biology from UCSD, Layla continued to pursue her interest in biology and received her master's degree from UCSD as well. She went on to attend dental school at UCLA and is completing her orthodontic residency at UCLA.
While in dental school, Dr. Layla was the recipient of the American Association of Orthodontics Award, Comprehensive Patient Care Award, Division of Public Health Dentistry and Community Dentistry Award and Excellence in Clinical Care Award. Dr. Layla was selected by the faculty to become a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society founded for the purpose of encouraging scholarship and advancing the ethical standards of the dental profession. She considers herself a ‘forever student,’ eager to build upon her foundations in dentistry and stay in tune with the latest advances in orthodontics.
She treats every patient as family and is passionate about creating beautiful, healthy smiles. As a Southern California native, Dr. Layla is excited to treat patients in the very community that she grew up in. In her free time, she enjoys working out, trying out new recipes in the kitchen and mentoring the younger generation of dental students.
